From Our Clients

10 years ago, I had a late endometriosis diagnosis and had to go through a hysterectomy. I was very upset. I did a DNA test with MyDNA recently and my genes tell me that I have a high risk of endometriosis! If I know about this back then, I would have been able to understand my body better, do more regular checks, and save my womb.
I noticed my young son was hyperactive, implusive, and has learning difficulties. I thought it was just him being difficult and mischevous. I was recommended a DNA test for him and found that he has high risk of ADHD! I didn’t think he would have that. After going through assessment with a psychologist, it was confirmed that he has ADHD. He is now on treatment, and doing much better at school. What a blessing!
I was initially worried about what my DNA would say about me. I was amazed when I saw the results and how comprehensive they were. This has made me focus on my mental and physical health, as I want to be healthy and able to live longer.
My husband and I adopted our 3-year-old daughter. We wanted to understand her genetic makeup so we know how to look after her, and reduce health surprises along the way. So we got her to do a DNA test, and we believe it was the best thing that we could have done for her, and for us too. Now, we can provide the best for her.
Finally, I can understand why my blood tests say I lack specific vitamins, even when I eat healthily. My DNA test report indicates that I have difficulty absorbing those vitamins! Now, I ensure I have good supplementation to give my body what it needs.
We have a very young family. Seeing the reports from our DNA tests was truly eye-opening. Since then, we have focused on healthier lifestyles for us and our children.
I have been struggling to lose weight for years. With the results of my DNA and tailored guidance by the consultants of MyDNA, I managed to change my nutrition intake and finally see a healthy weight loss.
I was initially skeptical in doing a DNA test, but I went along with my wife and decided to do it with her. I am fortunate that I found some health risks which I am focusing on during my routine health checkups. I’m thankful for MyDNA, pun intended!

Driven by the world’s most advanced DNA sequencing technology

Illumina's Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms are extensively utilised across research, clinical, and applied sectors. These systems produce large volumes of data that support diverse applications, including cancer research, genetic disease diagnostics, and agricultural biotechnology. Known for their high throughput, scalability, and rapid performance, this technology is a vital resource in contemporary genetic research and diagnostics.

Who should take the test?

  • Anyone with a family history of cancer or brain diseases
  • Anyone who wants to know their disease susceptibility and take action
  • Anyone who wishes to make lifestyle changes for a healthier life

Who can take the test?

Individuals of all ages and families (especially children). Your DNA is the same throughout your life. It doesn’t change. If you can provide saliva samples, you can take the DNA test.

Examples of questions that only your DNA can answer:

  • What type of diet fits me?
  • Can my body absorb all nutrients well?
  • How do my genes affect muscle development?
  • How likely is my skin to retain moisture?
  • Am I predisposed to sleep disorders?
  • How well do I metabolise alcohol and caffeine?
  • How sensitive am I to smell?
  • Would I live longer than 90 years?
