In March 2026, MyDNA was named Best DNA Testing Service 2026 in APAC Insider’s Singapore Business Awards, and received the Client Experience Excellence Award 2026 in the same programme.
So MyDNA is now an award winning DNA testing service in Singapore. This page is about what those two awards actually recognise, and what they do not, because we would rather you heard that from us than worked it out on your own.
A DNA test on its own is a long PDF that most people open once. What makes it useful is the hour afterwards, when a consultant sits down with you and turns 502 reports into three or four things worth doing differently.
That consultation is included with every kit, and it happens at your home or office rather than in a clinic. It is also the slowest and least scalable part of what we do. If anything about MyDNA deserved recognition, we would want it to be that.
APAC Insider is a business magazine, and its awards are decided by its own research team rather than by a clinical or scientific panel. Being nominated cost nothing and winning cost nothing.
It is a nice thing to receive. It is not evidence that our science is better than anyone else’s, and we are not going to present it as though it were.
If you are trying to work out whether a DNA test is worth your money, there are a few things you can check without taking our word for any of it.
Start with the reviews on Google. They were written by people who sat through one of those consultations, and nobody leaves a review to be polite.
Then compare the kits properly. There are several DNA tests available in Singapore and they do not all cover the same ground or come with the same support. We have put a comparison on our site, including the parts where somebody else does something we do not.
The question most people forget to ask is what happens after the results arrive. A test that emails you a login and leaves you to it is a different product from a test that sends somebody to your kitchen table.
